We know visiting somewhere for the first time can be a bit intimidating so we'd like to give you a glimpse into what you can expect.
First off, we meet in this beautiful, historic church in East Nashville. Dress is casual. Come how you are, we have no dress code.
Being so close to downtown, parking is on the street. As you pull up to the church you will see a member of our parking team to help you find a spot. When you walk into the building you'll be greeted by one of our lovely members who will be eager to introduce themselves & make you feel welcome.
They'll show you inside to the seating & coffee bar. Get comfortable & help yourself to as much coffee as you can drink. We're big coffee fans at Nashville Vineyard.
Service officially starts at 10AM, but that's more often than not a loose guideline. We'll begin service with some worship. Feel free to join in as you feel comfortable - some people close their eyes & lift their hands, others are more laid back & use worship as a time to reflect on the lyrics. We'll have lyrics on the screen for your convenience.
After worship we'll have a time for announcements & offering. If this is your first time, we do not want you to feel pressured to give. Instead, we'd love to give you a gift of our own - peace. We always pray a special blessing of peace and joy over our guests, and believe that you can actually receive the peace of Christ!
After announcements, we will have a message lasting about 30 minutes. The messages may vary in topic, but will always be biblically backed & relevant to daily life. Afterwards, the worship team will come up & play one more song while we have a time of prayer & reflection. Communion will be offered at that time.
Service is over after that; however, many of us stay & hang out after service. We hope you feel more relaxed about joining us for the first time & look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
